Free Resume Checker
Upload your resume or paste its text and get a score out of 100 in a second. Eight checks recruiters and applicant tracking systems care about, each with the exact fix. No job ad needed: to match against a specific job, use the ATS Match Score.
What the resume checker looks at
- Contact details: email, phone and a LinkedIn or portfolio link as plain text, where ATS parsers look for them.
- Standard sections: Experience, Education and Skills under headings software recognises.
- Action verbs: bullets that start with what you did (Led, Built, Cut), not “Responsible for”.
- Quantified results: at least half your bullets should carry a number: %, money, time, people, volume.
- Length: 400-800 words fits one to two pages for most careers.
- Dates: one format, every role dated, most recent first, no end before start.
- Buzzwords and pronouns: “hard-working team player” claims what a result should prove.
- Bullet length: one achievement per bullet, readable in a six-second skim.
Resume checker vs ATS match score
This checker grades the resume on its own: structure, clarity and evidence. An ATS match score compares it with one job ad and tells you which of the ad's keywords are missing. Run this first, then tailor with the free ATS Match Score for each application.
Pasted text is scored in your browser. An uploaded file is only converted to text and not stored.
