What this does and doesn't tell you
Every match is a live query against both registers, not a database we built ahead of time: Companies House is searched for the company name and compared by normalised equality against every result on the page (never just the top hit — a plain "top result" lookup gets tripped up by near-duplicate names constantly). UK Find Case Law is searched for judgments where the company's name appears as a party, then filtered again so only judgments actually naming that company make the list.
Limits, stated first. This never shows who won or lost — real UK judgment text doesn't follow a fixed pattern for stating outcomes, and guessing one from the text would be worse than showing nothing. Coverage is whatever UK Find Case Law has published (Supreme Court down to first-tier tribunals) — not every case ever filed, only the ones with a published written decision. A "no match" on Companies House means the name didn't equal any live search result exactly after normalising for case, punctuation and legal suffix — it doesn't mean the company doesn't exist, just that this lookup couldn't confirm it.
