Need alt text for a whole website?

One image at a time is fine for a blog post. For a WordPress Media Library with hundreds of images, Alt Text BYOK finds every image without alt text and writes it for all of them in one pass, with your own AI key (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, Mistral or a local Ollama): no per-image credits, no subscription.

Get the WordPress plugin or download the free version (no limits) · the full version is a one-time $24.99.

What makes good alt text

• Describe what matters in the image for the page it is on, not every detail.
• Keep it short: screen readers read it all, and around 125 characters is a common limit.
• Skip "image of" or "photo of": screen readers already announce it is an image.
• Purely decorative images get an empty alt="", not a description.
