One-Page Resume Template
Under about ten years of experience, one page is the norm recruiters expect. The trick is not smaller fonts but fewer, stronger lines.
What the template needs to do
- Keep the last 10 years; older jobs become a single line or disappear.
- Three to five bullets per job, each starting with a result and a number.
- Cut the objective statement; a two-line summary does the same job.
- Merge skills into one line per group instead of a long vertical list.
- Drop "References available on request" — everyone knows.
Sample: web developer resume, Compact layout
Recommended layout: Compact — Dense single column, no color blocks — safest for ATS parsers.
