What LayEarth is

LayEarth shows live and recent data about the planet — aircraft, GPS interference, winds aloft, fires, earthquakes, weather, oceans and more — on one map, with several layers on at once. The data comes from public and community sources (for example adsb.lol and OpenSky Network for aircraft, NASA FIRMS for fires, USGS for earthquakes, OpenStreetMap contributors for the base map). Each layer page names its source.

Not for navigation or safety decisions

Everything on LayEarth is informational. Feeds can be late, incomplete or wrong, and derived measurements (GPS interference cells, winds read off aircraft) are estimates. Do not use LayEarth to fly, sail, evacuate or make any decision where an error could hurt someone; use the official source for that.

LayEarth Pro

Pro is a subscription (US$9 / month or US$79 / year, taxes as shown at checkout) that unlocks the premium layers marked ✦. Payment is handled by Stripe; LayEarth never sees your card. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt; access stays until the end of the period you paid for. If a premium layer is unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days in a paid period, ask for a refund of that month (for yearly plans, 1/12 of the year) and you will get it.

Fair use

Use the map and share links to it freely. Do not scrape the service at volume, resell its data, or try to bypass the Pro gate. Third-party data remains under its own licence (for example ODbL for OpenStreetMap).

No warranty

LayEarth is provided as is, without warranty of availability or accuracy, to the extent the law allows. Liability is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months.

Changes

These terms may change; the date above says when. Material changes for Pro subscribers are announced by email before they apply.
