In Europe, the 6,947 installations of the EU Emissions Trading System: verified CO2 against the free allowances they received, ranked inside their own industrial sector. In the United States, 21,727 EPA major facilities: quarters out of compliance and penalties, ranked nationally. Search a plant by name or open the ones near you.
Where the data comes from
EU Transaction Log (Union Registry) via euets.info, 2023 compliance year; US EPA ECHO Exporter (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and RCRA records).
Reading the map
Red dots are in the top third of their peers, amber in the middle, green in the bottom 40%; a bigger dot is a higher percentile.
Units Percentile 0-100 against peers: EU on verified CO2 per free allowance within the NACE sector; US on quarters in non-compliance (last 12) and penalties (last 5 years).
