Earthquake alerts for your area
Pick a place, a radius and a minimum magnitude: every matching earthquake reported by USGS reaches this device as a notification, usually within minutes. No app to install, no account; or get the same alerts by email.
LayEarth Pro
Free: one area at M2.5 or more; a new area replaces the old one. Pro keeps up to 20 areas side by side, goes down to M1 for local tremors, and unlocks the premium map layers.
How it works
Every five minutes LayEarth reads the USGS real-time feed of the last hour. Each new earthquake at or above your magnitude inside your circle is sent once. These are reports of earthquakes that already happened, not an early warning: in the USA, Mexico, Japan and other countries official early-warning systems exist and should stay on.
Aurora alerts
Looking for the northern or southern lights instead? Pick your city for the Kp threshold and a free push the first time the forecast is strong enough there. Aurora forecasts by city
