Who it's for

WooCommerce store owners and agencies who already run โ€” or are ready to set up โ€” a Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API account and want order updates and bulk announcements to reach customers on WhatsApp instead of getting lost in email.

What it does

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): the plugin ships no WhatsApp credentials of its own and is not a paid intermediary. Every message is sent directly from your site to graph.facebook.com using the Phone Number ID and Access Token you enter โ€” no message data passes through any server belonging to the plugin author.

How it compares

The full version, on a real store

Screenshots taken on a test WordPress + WooCommerce install running the full plugin, with demo orders and customers.

Cash on delivery confirmation

What your customer gets. A new COD order is put on hold and the customer receives your approved template with two buttons.

Tap Confirm and the order moves to Processing. Tap Cancel and it is cancelled with stock restored. No reply: one reminder after the hours you set, then a "No reply" flag so you call before shipping.

WooCommerce Orders list with the COD confirmed column added by Bulk Order Notifications for WA: orders marked Confirmed, Waiting, Reminded, No reply and Cancelled by customer, plus a COD confirmation filter
Your Orders screen gets a "COD confirmed" column and a filter: Confirmed, Waiting, Reminded, No reply, Cancelled by customer.

Does COD confirmation pay for itself? Every COD parcel refused at the door costs you shipping twice (out and back) plus packing โ€” call it $4โ€“8. Put in your store's numbers:

At 50 COD orders a month with 1 in 5 refused and $5 per return, that is $50 a month walking back to your warehouse; if confirming on WhatsApp stops a quarter of those returns, you save about $12.50 a month and the $39 is back in about three months.

The 25% is an assumption, change it. Savings are before Meta's own per-message rate. More detail, other currencies: COD RTO cost calculator ยท How COD confirmation works.

Abandoned-cart reminders

Bulk Order Notifications for WA Abandoned carts settings: reminders enabled, sent 2 hours after checkout is abandoned with the cart_reminder template, 2 carts waiting and 3 reminders sent
Pick the delay and the template; the reminder carries a link that restores the cart and opens checkout.

Customer segments and scheduled sends

Bulk Order Notifications for WA Bulk send screen: recipients loaded from WooCommerce customers with a paid order in the last 60 days, two scheduled sends with cancel links, and a date picker to schedule the spring_sale template
Load opted-in customers with a paid order in the last N days (optionally buyers of one product), then send now or schedule it. Scheduled sends can be cancelled.

Send log with delivered and read status

Bulk Order Notifications for WA Send log: each message with date, number, status sent, delivered, read, failed or skipped, and detail such as COD confirmation or cart reminder, with an Export CSV button
Statuses come from Meta's webhook: sent, delivered, read, failed. The log is in both versions; CSV export is in the full one.

Free: WhatsApp button on every WooCommerce order

Not ready to set up the Cloud API? Start by hand. The free WhatsApp Order Button browser extension (Chrome and Edge) adds a green WhatsApp button to every order in your WooCommerce order list and order page. One click opens WhatsApp on the customer's number with a message already written for that order's status: payment reminder, "we're getting it ready", shipped, refunded. No account, no key, no server: it runs in your browser and you enable it only on your own store.

Download the free extension

Install: unzip, open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions), turn on Developer mode, click "Load unpacked" and pick the folder. Store listings are coming.

Clicking a button per order is fine at 10 orders a day. When it is 50, Bulk Order Notifications for WA sends the same messages by itself on every status change, through the official WhatsApp Cloud API, plus COD confirmation and abandoned-cart reminders.

What you need before you buy

This plugin uses your own Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API credentials โ€” it does not create that account for you. Before you install it, make sure you (or someone on your team) has:

If you already send WhatsApp order notifications any other way, you likely have all three already. If you're starting from zero, Meta's own setup and template approval can take from a few hours to a few days โ€” do that first, then come back and install. The step-by-step setup guide walks through all of it: Phone Number ID, a permanent token, template approval, webhook and what Meta charges per message.

Installation

  1. Upload the wa-bulk-notify folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate the plugin from the WordPress Plugins menu: it opens its Settings page for you.
  3. Go to Settings > Bulk Order Notifications for WA and enter your Phone Number ID and Access Token.
  4. Map order statuses to templates, or go to the bulk-send screen to send to a pasted list.

FAQ

Do I need a Meta developer account?
Yes. You need a WhatsApp Business Account with Cloud API access, a verified phone number, and at least one approved message template. This plugin does not create that for you โ€” it uses the credentials you already have. The setup guide covers every step.
Does the plugin send my data to a server of its own?
No. Requests go directly from your site to the Meta WhatsApp Business Cloud API using your own credentials.
Is this a subscription?
No. $39 once for the full version: install the file over the free one, the license key for updates is already filled in. The free WordPress.org version has no sending cap either: the full version adds customer segments, scheduled sends, abandoned-cart reminders and CSV export. Meta's own messaging costs, if any, are billed to you directly by Meta.
