Free for everyone. Pro for the data nobody else gives away.

Every live layer of the map is free, with no account. Pro unlocks the aviation layers: what the aircraft themselves measure, the turbulence forecast, the official SIGMET warnings and what pilots report from the cockpit, plus the drone go / no-go map. It lets your alerts watch more places, and adds alerts for clear dark skies, pollen, fresh snow, bad air and lightning. Business is for companies: crop, energy and risk numbers computed for your own fields and sites, which no free weather map gives you.

Business

€49 · $49+ / month

for companies, priced by the kind of data; a year costs 10 months

Agro €49 · $49 / month

Growing degree days, FAO-56 evapotranspiration and water balance, frost risk, spray windows, leaf wetness, chill hours. Up to 10 fields.

Energy €99 · $99 / month

Wind power density at 80 and 100 m, turbine capacity factor, solar PV yield, turbine icing. Up to 10 sites.

Risk €99 · $99 / month

Hail index, road ice, freeze-thaw cycles, safe windows for cranes, wildfire smoke heading your way. Weather event reports for claims (PDF): wind, rain, lightning within 10 and 25 km, hail, any day of the last 30. Fire weather index (Canadian FWI), outdoor heat stress (WBGT), concrete pour windows (5–30 °C, dry for 4 h) and workable days over the next 14.

Business €199 · $199 / month

All three packs, API access (10,000 calls a month) and CSV export.

Every number is computed for your own point or field from the NOAA GFS model (and ECMWF where available), not copied from a weather API. Without a key the map shows the first value of each pack as a preview.

Already on Agro, Energy or Risk? Threshold alerts on 25 sites instead of 3: €29 · $29 a month or €290 · $290 a year, on the key you already have.

Questions

What is free?
All 61 live layers of the map (everything except the Pro layers: GPS interference, winds aloft, turbulence, SIGMETs, pilot reports and drone go / no-go), share links and permalinks, embeds, earthquake alerts for one area by push or email, and aurora alerts for one city. No account and no time limit.
What is LayEarth Business?
Computed numbers for companies, for a point or a field: growing degree days, FAO-56 evapotranspiration, frost risk and spray windows (Agro, €49 · $49 a month); wind power density, capacity factor and solar yield (Energy, €99 · $99); hail, road ice, crane windows and wildfire smoke, fire weather index, heat stress and building-site windows (Risk, €99 · $99); or all three with API and CSV export (€199 · $199). A year costs ten months. Forecasts come from weather models: they are guidance for planning, not a guarantee.
What does the Risk pack say about fires, heat and building sites?
For your point it computes the Canadian Fire Weather Index at local noon for each forecast day, with the European (EFFIS) danger class; the outdoor WBGT heat stress with work flags from white to black; the windows when concrete can be poured (temperature between 5 and 30 °C and no rain for at least 4 hours); and which of the next 14 days are workable (at least 6 good hours between 7:00 and 17:00: no rain, gusts under 60 km/h, no extreme heat). The models we bake reach 3 days ahead: the days beyond are marked unknown, never guessed.
How do I cancel?
Whenever you like, from the link in your Stripe receipt. Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing renews after that.
Can I use Pro on more than one device?
Yes. After payment you get a personal link, your key: open it on your phone, another computer or another browser and Pro turns on there too. There is no account and no password.
I changed browser or lost my key. What now?
Go to your Pro page and open the key link you saved there. If you no longer have it, enter there the email you paid with and we send the link to it.
Where does the data come from?
From public sources, read live: USGS for earthquakes, NASA FIRMS and EONET for fires and natural events, NASA GIBS for the satellite imagery, NOAA for weather models and the aurora forecast, and the ADS-B networks adsb.lol and OpenSky for aircraft. GPS interference and winds aloft are computed from what the aircraft themselves broadcast; SIGMETs and pilot reports come from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if a premium layer stays unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days in a month you paid for: ask, and that month is refunded. The details are in the Terms.
